Visit the monument "Teplovsko height" and stele "Angel of Peace" memorial complex "To Heroes of the Northern FAS Kursk Bulge", which was opened in Kursk region on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
A trip to Ponyri (about 80 km) – there , on the Northern FAS Kursk bulge in July 1943, were fierce and bloody fighting, during which Soviet soldiers showed exceptional courage and fortitude. No wonder the Germans compared a small village with Stalingrad.
The memorial complex "To Heroes of the Northern FAS Kursk Bulge" was built in honor of the Soviet soldiers who fought heroically as part of the Central Front near with Ponyri in July 1943.
The memorial complex, was built on the station square, Victory Square now, includes: a monumental sculpture "For Our Soviet Motherland", the eternal flame of glory, the volumetric decorative wall with a picture of the order of the Patriotic war on the background of the belt guard and brotherly cemetery where are buried more than thousands soldiers who died on the territory of Ponyrovsky district on the northern FAS Kursk Bulge.
Visiting Ponyri’s historical and memorial museum of the Battle of Kursk, which is well known in the Kursk region, Russia and abroad. 5 August 1963 the veterans of the battle of Kursk gathered in the village of ponyri in honor of the 20th anniversary, and expressed the wish to create in Ponyri museum that would reflect and perpetuate the exploits of soldiers and officers of this great and momentous battle.
